Elf auditions will be held at 4:30 pm in the Silvagni Recital Hall (147) on Sept 10th. Community members and NVC students are welcome in this co-production with Cafeteria Kids Theater. Those cast in the production will enroll in the corresponding Napa Valley College Theater Arts and/or Musical Theater course upon admission.

The heartwarming musical comedy that brings the beloved holiday film to life on stage. Follow Buddy the Elf’s journey from the North Pole to New York City as he spreads Christmas cheer and discovers the true meaning of family. This co-production with Cafeteria Kids Theater combines the talents of NVC students with young community performers in a show that celebrates the magic of the season for audiences of all ages.

Come prepared with your one-minute song, and we’ll guide you through the rest. We’re looking for enthusiasm, willingness to collaborate, and the joy that comes from sharing stories together. The partnership between NVC Performing Arts and Cafeteria Kids Theater creates a uniquely inclusive environment where seasoned performers work alongside newcomers, building community through the art of musical theater.

Cafeteria Kids Theater Youth auditions will be Friday Sept. 11th. Callbacks for both on Thursday Sept. 17th.

What to Prepare

NVC Auditions for our holiday co-production of Elf the Musical are Thursday, September 10 at 4:30 PM in the Silvagni Recital Hall. Open to all community members and NVC students, with callbacks September 17. Prepare one minute of an upbeat, contemporary musical theater song. Auditioners will be asked to present a cold-read side. Sides will be available at the audition sign in table. Rehearsals begin October 1, opening December 4.
