The Emergence Festival of New Works
Location: Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center Studio Theater
Performance Dates:
February 8 at 7pm
February 9 at 2pm
Emerging artists and development of new works will be showcased in “The Emergence Festival of New Works”, an annual celebration of new work created and performed by Napa Valley College students, alumni, faculty and staff. This years theme is “Metamorphosis”. Performances include Edward Albee’s “The Zoo Story” directed by emerging theater maker Andres Agustin Barrera.
This opportunity is for the community to enjoy works by artists showcasing their new plays, screenplays, monologues, dance pieces, music compositions, songs, poems, films, visual arts, and more.

As You Like It
Location: Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center Main Theater
Performance Dates:
Friday Performances (March 21 and 28) at 7pm
Saturday and Sunday Performances (March 22, 23, 29, 30) at 2pm
Napa Valley College Performing Arts in association with Shakespeare Napa Valley and Festival Napa Valley present a ravishing musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic story. This immersive, dream-like tale of faithful friends, feuding families, and lovers in disguise captivates with chance encounters, profound self-discovery, and a fun indie-pop musical score.
Directed by Jennifer King, Music Direction by Dr. Christina Howell
The production features Festival Napa Valley Artist in Residence, Ashley Garlick (Actors’ Equity Association) as Rosalind, members of various Napa Community Groups as the “Community of Arden,” local choral ensembles as the “Choirs of Arden,” and Napa area Youth and Teens as the “Children of Arden” alongside Napa Valley College students who make up the core cast of this production.

¡Viva Mariachi! Festival at Napa Valley College!
Location: Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center, Mainstage
Dates: Saturday, April 12th at 2 pm and 7pm
¡Viva Mariachi! at Napa Valley College offers a unique opportunity for our community to learn how these programs are thriving throughout the U.S because of their effective role in student success, all while enriching the cultural vitality and musical traditions of their institutions and surrounding communities. Performance groups include: Mariachi Luz de Oro de UC Berkeley, Mariachi Aztlán de Pueblo High School, and Mariachi Las Mariposas from Garfield High School.

The 39 Steps Abridged
Location: Napa Valley College Studio Theater
Dates: May 2, 3, 9, 10 at 7pm and 4, 11 at 2pm
Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps abridged, a fast-paced whodunit. This two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters (played by a cast of four), an onstage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and some good old-fashioned romance!
