This unique adaptation combines the power of storytelling with live musical performances by Napa Valley College ensembles, including NVC Chorale and NVC Jazz Ensemble, along with featured soloists. Experience Scrooge’s transformative journey through past, present, and future as the timeless tale unfolds through dramatic readings enhanced by seasonal music that captures both the Victorian spirit and the universal themes of redemption and hope that make this classic story a cherished holiday tradition.

The program includes Haydn’s witty and inventive Symphony No. 60, along with the fresh romanticism of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s “Four Novelletten,” showcasing the composer’s distinctive melodic gift. Beethoven’s triumphant Second Symphony will demonstrate the master at his most optimistic and energetic, while the evening concludes with Maxime Goulet’s playful Chocolate Symphony, a contemporary work that promises to be as rich and satisfying as its title suggests.
From classical elegance to modern innovation, this concert offers a perfect blend of familiar masterworks and delightful discoveries.
