Join us for an engaging and inclusive musical theater experience designed for community members ages 16 and up of all backgrounds and experience levels! We invite anyone with a passion for performance, whether you’re a seasoned performer or stepping onto the stage for the first time.

Participants will perform alongside the NVC student cast in the spring production a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” as “Citizens of Arden.”

Beginning with immersive January workshops sponsored by Festival Napa Valley with Broadway guest choreographer, Kim Craven, the “Citizens of Arden” cast will learn and rehearse two numbers to be presented as a part of the March run of performances.

The production is directed by Jennifer King with musical direction by Dr. Christina Howell. 

The experience culminates with performance in which participants can share their talents with family and friends, celebrating the joy of community collaboration. No auditions or previous experience necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! About the Show: The show As You Like It is a musical adaptation by Shaina Taub and Laurie Woolery. The rollicking and poignant musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s As You Like It is a dream-like tale of faithful friends, feuding families and lovers in disguise, featuring an original folk-pop score.

Rehearsals for the extended cast begin January 30th. Performances are March 21-30, 2025.
