NVC Chorale — Fall Concert

Every story worth telling begins the same way. Not with a plan. Not with a hero who is ready. 

It begins with a call. 

Joseph Campbell found the same journey running beneath human stories across every culture and every century: the ordinary life disrupted, the threshold crossed, the road that takes everything, the transformation that finally makes the return possible. 

A Hero’s Journey is a choral concert built on that arc. Five movements. One story. Music spanning Vivaldi to Rodgers and Hammerstein, a forgotten inscription on a cellar wall in wartime Cologne, a Broadway meditation on hope written for a daughter, ancient liturgy, and a 21st-century voice asking, quietly, what it costs to get dressed and show up. Between movements, students from the NVC Reader’s Theater class give voice to the arc — narrating the journey from call to return. 

The NVC Chorale invites you to make the journey with them — a concert about the rest of us. The ones who weren’t ready. The ones who went anyway.
