Give the gift of the arts

Theater Arts

Theater Arts is dedicated to providing audiences and students professional quality theater experiences on stage and in the classroom. We offer students the opportunity to learn from professional artists in a way that inspires their passion for the artistic process. Our programs contribute to the quality of campus life and in the community at large by bringing engaging and stimulating festivals to outside venues.

By donating to Theater Arts, you help expand the resources available for productions and student experiences, including hiring professional directors, actors and designers to mentor students.

Music

Napa Valley College Music department serves students from all parts of the North Bay Area who have an interest in individual development and group performances. Our students include lifelong learners, seasoned musicians, transfer students and dual-enrolled high school students. The degree programs are designed to offer students a comprehensive foundation in music as well as two areas of emphasis; vocal and instrumental music. Each degree provides a basic foundation in music fundamentals, theory and history and preparation for transfer.

Shakesperience” Study Abroad Summer Intensive

Our deepest gratitude to Penny Pawl, an ardent patron and supporter of Napa Valley College Performing Arts, for establishing a new scholarship program for NVC students to attend Prague Shakespeare Company’s summer intensive.

The Napa Valley College Shakespeare Abroad program provides NVC students the unique opportunity for an immersive theater and mentorship experience at Prague Shakespeare Company’s Summer Shakespeare Intensive in the historic city of Prague.

Participating in classes and workshops led by master teachers of Shakespeare and performance from around the world, NVC students will perform in some of continental Europe’s most historically significant and culturally important venues.

Participants complete their summer “Shakesperience” with a professional Prague Shakespeare Company credit added to their resume. All productions are featured as part of Prague Shakespeare Company’s Season and allow participants to work alongside Prague Shakespeare Company artists.

Please consider joining to support the Penny Pawl Shakesperience Fund to provide NVC Theater Arts students a Shakespeare Abroad educational opportunity. Donations fund program participation, room and board and airfare.
